Thymus citriodorus 'Lemon'

Thymus citriodorus 'Lemon' is a compact, spreading herb with aromatic dark green foliage that releases a fresh lemon scent when brushed or crushed. Its neat habit makes it both ornamental and useful in herb gardens, raised beds and containers.

From June to August, clusters of light pink flowers appear above the foliage, adding soft summer colour and attracting bees and other pollinating insects. The scented leaves can also be harvested for culinary use.

Best grown in full sun or partial shade and free-draining soil, 'Lemon' is drought tolerant once established and dislikes prolonged winter wet. It is ideal for herb gardens, rockeries, patio pots and the front of sunny borders, with some protection beneficial during severe frosts.
