Thuja plicata 'Gelderland'
Thuja 'Gelderland' is a vigorous, evergreen conifer valued for its rich dark green foliage and naturally dense growth habit. Forming a broad, upright tree with excellent coverage, it provides year-round structure, privacy and shelter, making it one of the finest choices for screening and hedging. The attractive foliage remains deep green throughout the year and is held in flattened sprays that create a soft, textured appearance. Faster growing than many conifers, it quickly develops into an effective hedge while maintaining a tidy and elegant appearance with regular trimming.
Reliable and easy to grow, 'Gelderland' thrives in a wide range of soil types and performs well in both exposed and sheltered positions. It can be used as a handsome specimen tree or clipped into a dense formal hedge, where its excellent vigour and strong evergreen presence provide year-round interest.
