Taxus x media 'Hillii' is a dense evergreen conifer with an upright, compact habit. Its closely packed branches are covered with deep green needles, creating a neat and formal appearance throughout the year.
This naturally columnar variety develops into a broadly conical plant and responds well to regular trimming. Its dense foliage provides excellent structure, shelter and privacy without taking up as much space as wider-growing forms of Yew.
Ideal for formal hedging, screening or as a specimen plant, 'Hillii' grows well in full sun or shade and adapts to most moist but well-drained soils. It is hardy, dependable and easy to maintain once established.
