Strelitzia nicolai
Strelitzia nicolai – A dramatic tropical houseplant with huge, paddle-shaped green leaves held on tall stems, creating a bold architectural display. Known as the Giant White Bird of Paradise, mature plants may produce striking white and blue flowers resembling an exotic bird in flight.

Strelitzia Care Sheet
Light: Requires bright, indirect light and benefits from some direct sun to thrive. Best placed near a sunny window.
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry. Keep evenly moist in summer and reduce watering in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a rich, free-draining compost. Feed every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced fertiliser.
Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity but adapts well to normal indoor conditions. Mist leaves occasionally.
Pruning & Propagation: Remove old or damaged leaves at the base. Propagation is by division of rhizomes.
