Sorrel 'Volare'
Sorrel 'Volare' is a productive and attractive perennial herb grown for its fresh, tangy green leaves. The tender foliage has a distinctive lemony flavour that makes an excellent addition to salads, soups, sauces and a wide range of culinary dishes throughout the growing season.
This vigorous variety forms neat clumps of smooth green leaves and can be harvested regularly from spring through to autumn. Easy to grow and highly reliable, it is equally at home in vegetable gardens, herb beds, raised planters and patio containers.
Rich in vitamins and easy to maintain, 'Volare' thrives in full sun or partial shade and produces a continuous supply of fresh leaves when harvested regularly. Removing flower stems as they appear helps encourage even more leafy growth.
