Solidago 'Crown of Rays'
Solidago 'Crown of Rays' is a compact, clump-forming perennial producing dense sprays of vivid golden-yellow flowers from July through to September. The bright flower heads are held on slender upright stems, creating a cheerful late-summer display in borders and naturalistic planting schemes.
The flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, making 'Crown of Rays' a valuable addition to wildlife-friendly gardens. The stems are also excellent for cutting and can be used fresh or dried in floral arrangements.
Easy to grow and adaptable to a wide range of soils, this hardy perennial performs best in full sun or partial shade. Its compact habit makes it particularly useful for mixed borders, cottage gardens and prairie-style planting, where its strong yellow colour combines well with grasses and other late-flowering perennials.
