Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Gold Nugget'
Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Gold Nugget' is a colourful evergreen succulent forming compact rosettes of fleshy, pointed leaves. Its changing foliage brings year-round interest, with golden-green to yellow leaves edged in rich red during spring and autumn. Summer growth becomes lime green, while colder winter conditions can deepen the rosettes to red.
The neatly arranged leaves create a striking geometric shape, making this houseleek particularly effective in shallow pots, alpine troughs and mixed succulent displays. Small offsets develop around the main rosette, gradually forming a cluster that adds colour and texture to rockeries, gravel gardens and sunny wall crevices.
Hardy, drought tolerant and easy to grow, 'Gold Nugget' thrives in full sun and sharply drained soil. Use gritty compost for containers and avoid standing water, especially during winter. Its compact size makes it ideal for balconies and patios, where its seasonal colours can be enjoyed close up.
