Saxifraga × arendsii 'Saxony Red' is a dense, fine-leaved cushion-forming alpine, specially developed for excellent winter hardiness. In spring, masses of short-stemmed deep pink flowers rise just above the foliage, creating a vivid carpet of colour.
Perfect for rockeries, alpine beds, troughs and the front of borders, this mat-forming variety neatly fills gaps between stones and along edges. Tough and drought tolerant once established, it is also attractive to bees and other early pollinators.
