Saxifraga × arendsii 'Marto Red'
Saxifraga × arendsii 'Marto Red' is a charming alpine perennial forming a neat, evergreen cushion of small, bright green leaves. From March to May, it produces masses of vivid red, star-shaped flowers held above the foliage on slender stems, creating a carpet of spring colour ideal for rockeries, walls, or containers.
Perfect for adding early brightness to sunny or partially shaded spots, ‘Marto Red’ thrives in gritty, well-drained soil. Compact and hardy, it performs beautifully in alpine beds, troughs, or edging. The evergreen rosettes provide structure year-round, while the flowers attract bees and pollinators to early spring displays.
