Sambucus nigra 'Cherry Lace'
Sambucus nigra 'Cherry Lace' is a striking compact deciduous shrub with finely cut feathery foliage emerging greenish-red before deepening to a rich glossy cherry-red through the season. In late spring and early summer, large clusters of bright cherry-pink and white bicolour flowers appear, creating a vivid contrast against the dark foliage.
This ornamental elder is ideal for mixed borders, wildlife gardens and feature planting where its dramatic foliage colour and elegant flower heads can be fully appreciated. The nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.
