Salvia microphylla 'So Cool Pale Blue'
Salvia microphylla 'So Cool Pale Blue' is a compact, bushy perennial producing masses of pale lilac-blue flowers held above aromatic green foliage. The softly coloured blooms are displayed against contrasting purple calyces, creating an elegant and unusual effect.
Flowering from June into October, this long-blooming variety provides months of colour and is highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. Its upright, well-branched habit makes it especially effective in sunny borders, gravel gardens and patio containers.
Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil, 'So Cool Pale Blue' is drought tolerant once established and performs well in a warm, sheltered position. Regular deadheading encourages further flowers and helps maintain its neat appearance throughout the season.
