Salvia greggii 'Blue Note'
Salvia greggii 'Blue Note' is a compact, bushy evergreen sub-shrub producing masses of vivid blue flowers above aromatic green foliage. Its neat habit and intense flower colour make it an excellent choice for adding long-lasting impact to sunny planting schemes.
Flowering from May until the first frosts, this exceptionally long-blooming variety provides months of colour and a valuable source of nectar for bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. Regular deadheading can help encourage further flushes of flowers through the season.
Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil, 'Blue Note' is ideal for borders, gravel gardens, Mediterranean-style planting and patio containers. Drought tolerant once established and requiring very little maintenance, it performs particularly well in warm, sheltered positions.
