Rose 'Wollerton Old Hall'®
Rose 'Wollerton Old Hall'® is one of the finest fragrant English climbing roses, producing beautifully rounded, chalice-shaped blooms in soft pale apricot shades. The flowers gradually fade to creamy tones as they mature, creating a sophisticated and elegant display against the healthy green foliage.
The attractive buds are lightly flushed with red before opening to reveal perfectly formed blooms. Its outstanding fragrance is widely regarded as one of the best among English roses, combining a rich myrrh perfume with powerful citrus notes that carry beautifully through the garden.
Introduced by David Austin in 2011, this repeat-flowering climber is ideal for covering walls, arches and pergolas, where both the flowers and fragrance can be fully appreciated. Vigorous yet manageable, it performs exceptionally well in full sun and is also suitable for lightly shaded positions.

Getting the most from your new Rose
Where to plant
Choose an open, sunny position with free-draining soil. Avoid planting where roses have grown before or transfer fresh soil to the site. Climbing and Rambling roses can be trained up walls, fences and other supports.
Planting
Roses love organic matter, so mix well-rotten manure, leaf mould or compost into the soil. Water thoroughly before planting. Make a hole big enough not to disturb the root ball. Remove from the pot and ensure the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Back-fill soil mixed with a good fertilizer, then firm. Water thoroughly.
Aftercare
Water well until established. Mulching will keep the soil weed-free and moist. For best results feed your roses with fertilizer in spring and again in summer. Remove faded flowers to encourage speedy repeat flowering.
Simple Pruning
Prune your rose in March or before new growth by removing any dead or very thin branches and reducing the height by 1/3 to 2/3 of the previous growth.
