Rose 'Sir David Beckham'
Rose 'Sir David Beckham' is an exceptional English shrub rose bred by David Austin Roses, producing elegant clusters of luminous white blooms delicately flushed with blush pink and soft buttery yellow tones. Opening from gently tinted buds, the fully formed flowers reveal striking golden stamens at their centre, creating a beautifully natural and romantic appearance throughout the flowering season.
Blooming repeatedly from early summer until the first frosts, this refined variety combines outstanding flower power with strong garden performance. The blooms are carried against glossy dark green foliage and attractive red-tinged stems, giving the plant excellent contrast and structure within the garden. Its upright, bushy habit makes it ideal for mixed borders, dedicated rose gardens, and large patio containers.
The fragrance is particularly distinctive and complex, beginning with fresh green notes and subtle hints of banana before developing into warm honeyed musk layered with touches of nougat, clove, and myrrh. Highly attractive to bees and pollinators, the open-centred flowers provide both ornamental beauty and wildlife value through the season.
Introduced at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026, this remarkable rose was named in honour of Sir David Beckham following a family-inspired collaboration with David Austin Roses. More than ten years in development, the variety was selected for its beauty, resilience, health, and repeat flowering performance. For every rose sold, a contribution is made to The King’s Foundation, supporting sustainable communities, heritage projects, and educational programmes.
