Rose 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' Standard
Rose 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' is an elegant hybrid tea rose prized for its beautifully formed flowers and strong, sweet fragrance. Scrolled buds open into double blooms in the palest blush pink, often appearing almost white, creating a soft display against glossy dark green foliage.
Flowering repeatedly from early summer into autumn, this compact, upright rose brings lasting colour to rose beds and mixed borders. Its finely shaped blooms make excellent cut flowers, while the perfume is especially enjoyable when planted close to paths, patios or seating areas.
Hardy and reliable, 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Grow in full sun with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It also suits large patio containers, with regular watering, feeding and deadheading helping to maintain a generous display.
