Ribes sanguineum 'Red Bross'
Ribes sanguineum 'Red Bross' is a hardy, well-branched flowering currant producing an abundance of dark pink to rich red blooms from late April into May. The pendent flower clusters create a vibrant spring display, bringing early colour to borders and wildlife gardens.
The flowers carry a distinctive blackcurrant fragrance and are highly attractive to pollinators, making this an excellent choice for supporting bees and other beneficial insects. Its upright, bushy habit makes it ideal for mixed borders or informal hedging, and the stems can also be cut for spring arrangements.
