Ribes sanguineum 'Pink Pomp'
Ribes sanguineum 'Pink Pomp' is a striking deciduous flowering currant, grown for its showy spring display of soft pink, pom-pom-like flower clusters. These elegant blooms appear in early to mid spring, hanging in dense racemes that provide an early splash of colour and nectar in the garden.
The fresh green, maple-like foliage creates an attractive backdrop to the flowers and remains handsome through summer, before taking on gentle autumn tones. Compact and easy to grow, ‘Pink Pomp’ is highly attractive to bees and well suited to mixed borders, wildlife gardens and smaller hedging schemes in sun or partial shade.
