Rhus typhina
Rhus typhina is a striking deciduous shrub or small tree with deeply cut, tropical-looking foliage that turns fiery shades of red, orange and yellow in autumn. Its bold structure is enhanced by yellow-green summer flowers, followed by upright cone-like clusters of red fruit heads, which persist into winter. Also known as Stag’s Horn Sumach, its velvety young stems resemble antlers in texture.
