Rheum rhabarbarum 'Raspberry Red'
Rhubarb 'Raspberry Red' is a hardy, reliable perennial producing large leaves and thick, deep red stalks early in the season. The richly coloured stems have a deliciously sweet flavour, making them perfect for crumbles, jams, desserts, and freezing.
Easy to grow and requiring very little attention once established, this productive variety performs well in allotments, kitchen gardens, and large patio containers. Although forcing is not essential, it can be forced to produce exceptionally tender, high-quality stalks even earlier in the year.
