Rhododendron obtusum 'Rokoko'
Rhododendron obtusum 'Rokoko' is a charming evergreen Japanese Azalea forming a compact mound of glossy green foliage. During colder weather, the leaves develop an attractive bronze tint, providing additional winter colour.
In spring, the plant becomes covered with delicate baby-pink double flowers. Their softly ruffled appearance creates an elegant seasonal display in borders, containers and lightly shaded planting schemes.
Plant in a sheltered position with partial shade or light sun and acidic, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Hardy and easy to maintain in suitable conditions, it is ideal for smaller gardens and patios, while its flowers attract bees and other pollinators.
