Rhipsalis teres f. heteroclada
Rhipsalis heteroclada is an epiphytic cactus native to the rainforests of Central and South America. Belonging to the Rhipsalis genus, it thrives in humid, shaded environments and is often found growing on tree branches or rocks. Its delicate, cascading stems make it a popular choice for hanging planters and unique indoor displays.
Key Characteristics:
- Growth Form: Slender, segmented stems with a cascading habit, ideal for hanging baskets or mounted arrangements
- Flowers: Produces small, white to pale yellow blooms, typically in late winter to early spring. These are subtle yet charming and may give way to tiny, berry-like fruits
- Habitat: Naturally grows in tropical rainforests, thriving in environments with filtered light and high humidity
Care Tips:
