Pyracantha 'Soleil d'Or'
Pyracantha 'Soleil d'Or' is a striking evergreen shrub, producing clusters of small white flowers in early summer followed by masses of bright yellow berries in autumn. These berries persist well into winter, providing valuable colour and structure when much of the garden is bare.
The flowers are rich in pollen and highly attractive to bees, while the dense, thorny growth and abundant berries make this an excellent wildlife shrub, offering both shelter and an important winter food source for birds. Upright and easy to grow, ‘Soleil d'Or’ is particularly well suited to training against a wall or fence when given support, but also performs well in beds and borders.
