Prunus laurocerasus 'Bonaparte'®
Prunus laurocerasus 'Bonaparte'® is a compact, narrow-upright evergreen Cherry Laurel with glossy green foliage and particularly eye-catching new growth. Fresh shoots emerge in rich red tones before gradually maturing to deep green, providing an attractive seasonal contrast.
In May, clusters of pink-white flowers appear amongst the foliage, adding further spring interest. Its dense evergreen growth provides year-round structure while the naturally upright habit makes it particularly useful where space is more restricted.
Hardy, reliable and relatively easy to maintain, 'Bonaparte'® is an excellent choice for narrow hedging, screening or structural planting. Grow in sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil, pruning as required to maintain its shape.
