Prunus 'Kiku-shidare-zakura'
Prunus 'Kiku-shidare-zakura' is a stunning deciduous weeping cherry tree, celebrated for its spectacular spring display. From April into May, its gracefully arching branches are smothered in dense clusters of double pink flowers, each bloom resembling a chrysanthemum with its many ruffled petals. The cascading habit makes it a striking specimen tree, ideal for smaller gardens or as a focal point in lawns and borders.
Beyond its floral show, the dark green summer foliage provides shade before turning warm tones of orange and yellow in autumn. Compact and slow-growing, this ornamental cherry is well-suited to urban or courtyard gardens where space is limited but impact is desired. The flowers are attractive to pollinators, adding life to the garden during spring’s peak.
