Prunus cistena
Prunus cistena is a striking deciduous shrub, grown primarily for its rich, deep purple foliage which provides bold colour from spring through autumn. In early spring, before the leaves fully develop, the branches are adorned with delicate pale pink to near-white blossoms, creating a beautiful contrast against the dark stems.
