Primula vulgaris 'Alaska White Orange Eye'
Primula vulgaris 'Alaska White Orange Eye' is a main-season primrose producing white flowers with distinct orange eyes. The clean white petals and warm centres suit both simple and mixed colour schemes.
The Alaska series carries large single blooms above rosettes of textured green leaves. Its strong colours suit patio pots, window boxes and seasonal bedding, where it can be mixed with violas, small bulbs and trailing ivy.
Grow in partial shade or a sunny position with fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water containers regularly without leaving the roots waterlogged, and remove faded blooms and damaged leaves. Flowering time varies with weather and growing conditions. After the seasonal display, plant into a suitable garden border.
