Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Irish Luck'
Pittosporum 'Irish Luck' is a compact, upright evergreen shrub with glossy green leaves attractively edged with fine silvery hairs. Its neat foliage and naturally bushy habit provide excellent year-round structure and colour in the garden.
Small, inconspicuous purple-brown to burgundy flowers appear in late spring and early summer. Although modest in appearance, the flowers are lightly honey-scented and add an extra dimension of interest to this handsome evergreen shrub.
'Irish Luck' grows best in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It is particularly suited to sheltered gardens, coastal planting and large patio containers, and should be protected from cold, drying winds in more exposed locations.
