Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Elizabeth'
Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Elizabeth' is a handsome evergreen shrub grown for its beautifully variegated foliage in shades of green, cream and soft pink. Fresh new growth emerges with an attractive rosy-pink flush, creating year-round colour and adding brightness and texture to borders and containers.
In late spring, small dark purple flowers appear amongst the foliage, releasing a delicate honey-like fragrance that adds further seasonal interest. With its naturally upright, bushy habit and elegant appearance, 'Elizabeth' is an excellent alternative to traditional Buxus for hedging, screening or architectural planting.
Thriving in full sun or partial shade with well-drained soil, this versatile shrub is ideal for formal gardens, contemporary landscapes and patio containers. Best grown in a sheltered position, it benefits from protection against cold winds and severe frosts in colder parts of the UK.
