Pieris japonica 'Passion' ℗
Pieris japonica 'Passion' ℗ is an elegant evergreen shrub producing striking clusters of maroon, bell-shaped, scented flowers from March to May. These richly coloured blooms hang gracefully above contrasting young red foliage that matures to glossy green, providing year-round texture and interest. Its upright, compact habit and changing foliage tones bring vibrancy to shaded borders and containers.
‘Passion’ thrives in cool, moist, acidic, well-drained soil and prefers a sheltered position with partial shade. Low maintenance and reliable, it’s ideal for woodland gardens, mixed borders, or patio containers, where its spring flowers and colourful new growth create a refined focal point. The blooms are lightly fragrant and attract early pollinators during the spring season.
