Picea pungens 'Edith'
Picea 'Edith' is a compact evergreen conifer with slender, silvery-blue needles and a dense, broadly conical habit. Its intensely coloured foliage remains attractive throughout the year, providing reliable structure and a bold contrast against green shrubs and flowering plants.
This slow-growing Colorado spruce makes an eye-catching feature in rockeries, mixed borders and gravel gardens. Its relatively compact form also makes it suitable for smaller gardens and large containers, where its distinctive shape and vivid blue colouring can be fully appreciated.
Hardy and low maintenance, 'Edith' performs best in full sun, where its foliage develops its strongest blue tones. Plant it in moist but well-drained soil and allow sufficient space for its naturally conical shape to develop.
