Phlox douglasii 'Crackerjack'
Phlox douglasii 'Crackerjack' is a compact, evergreen alpine perennial that forms a dense cushion of fine, needle-like foliage. In late spring, the plant becomes smothered in vibrant crimson-pink flowers, creating a spectacular carpet of colour.
Its low-growing, spreading habit makes it an excellent choice for rockeries, alpine beds, gravel gardens, retaining walls and the front of sunny borders. The evergreen foliage provides year-round interest, while the profusion of flowers brings welcome colour early in the gardening season.
Easy to grow and highly reliable, 'Crackerjack' thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Its outstanding garden performance has been recognised with the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
