Philodendron Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but tolerates lower light conditions. Avoid harsh sunlight, which can scorch leaves.
Water: Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry before watering. Keep evenly moist during active growth, but avoid waterlogging.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a well-draining aroid mix with bark and perlite. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity but adapts well to normal indoor levels. Group with other plants or mist occasionally.
Pruning and propagation: Prune to maintain desired shape and encourage bushier growth. Propagate easily from stem cuttings in water or soil.
Experience level: Beginner.
