Philodendron 'El Choco Red'
Philodendron ‘El Choco Red’ is a highly sought-after collector’s philodendron, prized for its velvety, elongated heart-shaped leaves and rich colour contrast. New foliage emerges with deep burgundy-red undersides, while the upper surface matures to dark green with subtle sheen, creating a dramatic, luxurious look.
Best suited to bright indoor spaces with indirect light, this climbing variety performs beautifully when given a moss pole or support. Its elegant form and intense colouring make it an exceptional statement plant for living rooms, plant cabinets, or curated indoor jungles.

Philodendron Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain rich colour and healthy growth. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of compost feel dry. Keep evenly moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining aroid or houseplant mix with good aeration. Feed monthly in spring and summer.
Humidity: Enjoys increased humidity for best leaf quality, though it adapts to average household conditions.
Pruning and propagation: Trim to control size or shape. Can be propagated from stem cuttings.
