Peperomia 'Nevada'
Peperomia 'Nevada' is a decorative foliage houseplant with broad, matte green leaves softly dusted with a subtle silvery sheen. The gently textured foliage and fresh colouring give it a refined, understated appearance that works particularly well in modern indoor displays.
Compact and upright in habit, 'Nevada' is ideal for desks, shelves, tabletops and grouped houseplant arrangements. Easy to accommodate in smaller spaces, it prefers bright, indirect light and careful watering, making it a practical choice for both new and experienced plant owners.
- Other names: Nevada Peperomia
- Useful to know: Safe around pets and children
- Feature: Matte green foliage with a soft silvery sheen
- Eventual height: Can grow to approximately 20-25cm
- Origins: Cultivar; parent species originate from tropical South America
Peperomia Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal; avoid prolonged strong direct sunlight
Water: Allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry between waterings and avoid leaving the plant sitting in water
Humidity: Comfortable in normal household humidity, although moderate humidity is beneficial
Temperature: Keep warm, ideally between 18°C and 24°C, and protect from cold draughts
Feeding: Feed lightly with a balanced houseplant fertiliser during spring and summer
Care: Peperomia stores moisture in its fleshy foliage, so it is better to allow the compost to dry slightly than to overwater
