Peperomia caperata ‘Aruba’
Peperomia caperata ‘Aruba’ is a richly coloured compact houseplant with glossy, deeply textured foliage in dramatic shades of deep burgundy, chocolate and near-black. The pointed leaves have a softly rippled surface and subtle metallic sheen that gives the plant an elegant, luxurious appearance.
Its dense, mound-forming habit makes it ideal for desks, shelves, coffee tables or smaller decorative pots where its dark foliage can really stand out. Slender flower spikes may appear above the leaves throughout the year, adding extra texture and contrast to this stylish tropical plant.

Light: Thrives in a spot with bright, but indirect light. Can tolerate some shade, but may lose colour. Will not tolerate cold, so keep above 15° and away from draughts
Water: Water thoroughly, and allow top half of soil to dry out before watering again
Soil/Nutrition: Well-draining aroid potting mix with good aeration, feed monthly in spring and summer
Humidity: Will benefit from increased humidity, so mist regularly or group with other plants. Also excellent bathroom or kitchen plant
Pruning and propagation: Remove damaged leaves or leggy stems. Propagate via stem cuttings
