Passiflora caerulea is a spectacular evergreen climber that brings an exotic, tropical appearance to the garden with its vigorous growth and distinctive flowers. Deeply lobed dark green foliage provides an attractive backdrop for the extraordinary blue and white blooms, each featuring intricate purple and yellow centres.
Flowering from summer into autumn, this fast-growing passion flower produces masses of striking star-shaped blooms that are highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. In warm, favourable seasons, mature plants may also develop ornamental orange fruits, adding even more interest after the flowering period has finished.
