Paeonia lactiflora 'Black Beauty'
Paeonia lactiflora 'Black Beauty' is a striking herbaceous peony known for its large, fully double maroon-red blooms that appear in early summer. The rich, velvety petals create a luxurious, dramatic effect in the border, complemented by a sweet, classic peony fragrance.
This fully hardy perennial dies back cleanly in winter and returns reliably each spring with lush, divided foliage that supports the impressive flowers. Thriving in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, it is excellent for cottage gardens, perennial borders and for cutting for indoor arrangements.
