Origanum × majoricum, commonly known as sweet marjoram, is a versatile and aromatic herb with a mild, sweet flavour. Its soft green leaves can be used fresh or dried, making it a kitchen favourite for enhancing meats, sauces, soups and Mediterranean dishes.
Forming a neat, upright plant with square stems and oval foliage, it produces clusters of small white flowers in summer that are also attractive to pollinators. Easy to grow, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it ideal for herb gardens, borders and containers.
