Olea europaea
Olea europaea is a classic Mediterranean evergreen tree, with a head of silvery-grey foliage. Its narrow, olive-green leaves shimmer in the light, bringing a soft, sun-drenched feel to patios, terraces and garden spaces.
Perfect for containers or as a focal point in borders, this architectural tree thrives in a warm, sheltered position in full sun. Drought tolerant once established, it is low maintenance and well suited to contemporary or Mediterranean-style planting schemes. In favourable conditions, small creamy-white flowers may appear in summer, sometimes followed by olives.
