Miscanthus sinensis 'Kleine Silberspinne'
Miscanthus sinensis 'Kleine Silberspinne' is an elegant, medium-sized ornamental grass forming a neat clump of narrow green leaves, each marked with a distinctive pale midrib. Its upright, architectural foliage brings movement and texture to borders throughout the growing season.
From late summer, airy feather-like panicles emerge in soft reddish tones above the foliage, gradually fading as they mature. In autumn, the leaves develop warm orange shades, extending the season of interest and creating an attractive backdrop for late-flowering perennials.
Hardy, reliable and easy to grow, 'Kleine Silberspinne' performs best in a sunny position in well-drained soil. It is ideal for mixed borders, prairie-style planting and structural schemes where its graceful habit and long-lasting flower plumes can be fully appreciated.
