Maranta leuconeura 'Light Veins'
Maranta leuconeura 'Light Veins' is a beautiful prayer plant grown for its decorative foliage and distinctive pale veining. The oval leaves are rich green with prominent creamy-white veins that radiate from the centre, creating an elegant patterned appearance that stands out among other foliage houseplants.
Like other Marantas, this variety displays the fascinating habit of raising and folding its leaves at night, earning the common name Prayer Plant. Its trailing, spreading growth makes it ideal for shelves, plant stands and hanging displays, where the attractive foliage can be fully appreciated.

Maranta Care Sheet
Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid direct sunlight which can fade or scorch the foliage. Tolerates lower light levels better than many houseplants.
Water: Keep compost consistently lightly moist but never waterlogged. Allow the top centimetre of compost to dry slightly between waterings.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a moisture-retentive but free-draining houseplant compost. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
Humidity: Enjoys high humidity and performs best in kitchens, bathrooms or near a humidifier. Dry air can cause brown leaf edges.
Pruning and propagation: Trim leggy stems to maintain a compact shape. Easily propagated from stem cuttings or division.
