Magnolia × soulangeana 'Alba Superba' is one of the earliest flowering saucer magnolias, forming a hardy, upright shrub or small tree with strong architectural presence. In April, it produces a spectacular display of large, cup-and-saucer-shaped flowers, releasing a gentle fragrance that signals the arrival of spring.
The blooms are pure white on the outside, each petal marked with a subtle pinkish-purple flush at the base, adding depth and elegance to the display. Fresh green deciduous foliage follows the flowers, creating a lush canopy through summer before falling in autumn. Ideal for planting near seating areas or pathways, this magnolia rewards close appreciation of its form and scent.
