Kniphofia galpinii
Kniphofia galpinii is a graceful species of red hot poker producing slender, arching flower spikes in warm orange tones that fade to soft yellow at the base. The tubular flowers create a delicate, cascading effect, standing above neat clumps of narrow, grass-like foliage.
Flowering from mid to late summer, this distinctive perennial brings colour and movement to sunny borders and naturalistic planting schemes. Its nectar-rich blooms attract bees and other pollinators, while its airy habit makes it particularly effective when planted in drifts or mixed with ornamental grasses.
