Juniperus horizontalis 'Pancake' is an exceptionally low-growing conifer, forming a flat, spreading mat of fresh green foliage. As the seasons change, the leaves develop a blue hue in autumn and winter, bringing subtle colour variation and textural interest to the garden.
With its very slow growth rate and compact habit, ‘Pancake’ is perfect for use as groundcover in gravel gardens, rockeries, or the front of sunny borders. It also works well trailing over walls or containers. Requiring little maintenance once established, it is drought tolerant and hardy, making it an excellent choice for low-input planting schemes where structure and reliability are key.
