Iris germanica 'Senlac'
Iris germanica 'Senlac' is a striking bearded iris producing rich purple flowers with softly frilled edges and warm yellow throats. The bold blooms appear in late spring, rising above neat fans of sword-like grey-green foliage and bringing depth of colour and structure to sunny borders.
This hardy perennial is easy to grow and thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, where the rhizomes can sit close to the soil surface. Once established it becomes drought tolerant and low maintenance, making it ideal for mixed borders, cottage gardens and sunny planting schemes.
