Ilex crenata 'Golden Rock' Bonsai
Ilex crenata 'Golden Rock' is a slow-growing evergreen Japanese Holly trained into an elegant cloud-tree form. Fresh new foliage emerges lime green before maturing to a deeper green, creating attractive colour variation throughout the year.
Carefully shaped stems support rounded clouds of dense foliage, giving each plant a distinctive architectural appearance. Its sculptural form works particularly well in Japanese-inspired gardens, contemporary planting schemes and as a statement specimen in a large patio container.
Easy to maintain with regular light pruning, 'Golden Rock' can be trimmed to retain its characteristic cloud-shaped foliage and balanced form. Grow in sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil, avoiding prolonged waterlogging.
