Hypericum olympicum 'Moonlight'
Hypericum olympicum 'Moonlight' is a compact, low-growing perennial subshrub producing masses of bright sulphur-yellow flowers above attractive blue-green foliage. Its neat habit and vivid summer colour make it particularly effective towards the front of borders and in rock gardens.
Flowering from June through to August, 'Moonlight' produces relatively large flowers for its compact size, creating a cheerful display over a long period. The semi-evergreen foliage forms a tidy mound and can provide useful structure and colour outside the main flowering season.
Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil, this variety is particularly well suited to gravel gardens, rockeries, raised beds and other free-draining positions. It performs especially well in neutral to alkaline soils and can also be used as a compact ground-covering plant.
