Hydrangea macrophylla 'Bellatrix'
Hydrangea macrophylla 'Bellatrix' is a dramatic mophead hydrangea producing rich red flowerheads set against exceptionally dark deep green to near-black foliage. The striking contrast between the vivid blooms and moody foliage creates a bold feature in borders and patio containers throughout summer.
This compact deciduous shrub is ideal for sheltered gardens, woodland-style planting and decorative pots where its unusual foliage colour can be fully appreciated. Best grown in moist, fertile soil in partial shade for the richest leaf and flower colour.
