Hydrangea Flair & Flavours® 'Blackcurrant Muffin'
Hydrangea Flair & Flavours® 'Blackcurrant Muffin' is a compact reblooming mophead hydrangea producing magnificent rounded flower heads in rich purple-blue tones. Held on strong, sturdy stems above lush green foliage, the impressive blooms create a spectacular display from early summer through to autumn.
Part of the exceptional Flair & Flavours® collection, this hardy variety flowers reliably on both old and new wood, ensuring a consistent display from June until October. Flower colour is influenced by soil pH, with acidic soils maintaining deep blue blooms, while alkaline conditions encourage attractive pink shades.
Perfect for borders, patio containers and smaller gardens, 'Blackcurrant Muffin' thrives in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Easy to grow and winter hardy, simply remove the spent flower heads in spring. For the richest blue flowers, grow in ericaceous compost or apply a hydrangea blueing treatment to acidic soil.
