Homalomena ‘Flaming Red’
Homalomena ‘Flaming Red’ is a striking foliage houseplant with broad, glossy, heart-shaped leaves in deep green, held on vivid red to burgundy stems. The contrast between the rich foliage and colourful petioles gives this plant a warm, tropical feel and strong visual impact.
Compact and clump-forming, this variety is ideal for shelves, side tables, or shaded corners where its colour and form can be appreciated up close. It thrives in warm, stable indoor conditions and is valued for its easy-care nature and lush, jungle-like appearance.

Homalomena Care Sheet
Light: Prefers medium to bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Water when the top few centimetres feel dry. Reduce watering slightly in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a rich, free-draining houseplant mix. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Mist occasionally or use a pebble tray in drier rooms.
Pruning & Propagation: Remove yellow or damaged leaves at the base. Propagation is usually by division during repotting.
